Overview of Yuma Arizona PDF Print E-mail

Yuma is one of the fastest growing area in the United States and is one of the most popular winter destinations in the Southwest. Money magazine ranked Yuma as one of th top places to live in in the United States. In 2004, Yuma ranked No. 1 in job creation, according to the Milken Institute of Santa Monica, CA. We also ranked No. 3 on Relocate America's Top 100 Places to Live in 2005.
The most obvious reason for Yuma's outstanding growth is because of the climate. The Guinness Book of World Records recognizes Yuma as the sunniest place on earth - the sun shines 91 percent of the time! A few months during the summer may become a little too warm, but the rest of the year is wonderful. With a population of 86,070, Yuma is the 10th largest city in Arizona and the population more than doubles with the arrival of winter visitors.
